Overview
The Middletown Christian Schools Foundation is a non-profit organization established specifically to financially support the Middletown Christian Schools in the areas of new construction, student scholarships and educational support for teacher education, student scholastic competition and scholarships. The Foundation was established in 2000 with the launching of the Millennial Vision Campaign that successfully raised monies to construct the new 88,000 sq. ft. school building that currently houses the kindergarten through eighth grade students. That campaign was completed in 2003 and also enabled the completion of the cafetorium and the music room, which allowed MCS to significantly upgrade the fine arts curriculum.
Finish the Vision Campaign
The first phase of the new fundraising campaign was completed in 2005 with the Foundation raising $800,000 to finish the new gymnasium complex, complete with locker rooms, training room, athletic offices, storage facilities and concession room. The gym opened with seats on the visitor side only. In the spring of 2006, 500 new seats were added on the home side, bringing the total seating capacity to nearly 775.
MCS Foundation
The Foundation currently has hired the Timothy Group, a development organization located in Grand Rapids MI, to give direction and advice for future development. Our next construction phases will be the Life Skills area and the High School.
