has been interested in foreign culture since hearing about his father’s experiences on foreign mission trips. Randy is the fourth of five children of Randy and Sheila Smith of Liberty Township. His family has given him a Christian foundation and his church family Imago Dei provides opportunities for growth. He is excited about accountability groups within his youth group. This is Randy’s second year at MCS. His thirst for learning extends beyond the classroom, which brings joy to this teacher. He also takes advantage of opportunities to talk with others God brings his way, who have experienced foreign culture and language. Even though Randy has been in church all of his life, he recently recommitted himself to be set apart for God’s service. Randy is interested in the medical field and would like to go to Africa. What doors will God open for him in his desire to honor and serve the Lord Jesus Christ?

Greetings!

The school store will no longer be accepting consignments. We will continue to accept donations but per the recommendation of the MCS School Board and Administration the PTF voted at the April 24, 2012 meeting to the end the Consignment Program in the school store. Items that have been previously consigned items left in the store as of May 31, 2012 will become the property of the school store. Any consigned items that have been sold from January 1, 2012 to May 30, 2012 will receive the normal credit to their Lunch Express account prior to the 2012/2013 school year. Thank you for your participation in this program and your cooperation with this change.

Walk-A-Thon

Have you caught Spring fever yet? What about Walk-a-thon fever? Our fundraiser is in full swing and we still need YOUR help! Yes, our goal of $75,000 is quite lofty but we remain confident about one thing: With God all things are possible! If your child/children are older and will graduate soon, think of the wonderful legacy they will have left behind through financial donations. And if your child/children are younger, how can you help but to be excited about what the future holds for their education at MCS with the development of new classrooms? It’s exciting stuff and we want YOU to be a part of it! Please continue to pray about how God wants you to financially contribute to this amazing project. Our collection ends next Tuesday, May 8th if you want to be a part of the family drawing which requires $500 per family. Not only are you paving the way to the MCS future with your donations, but you are also a contender for either a Great Wolf Lodge family weekend or a new iPad. Additionally, each child who raises $143 will receive a Walk-a-thon t-shirt to wear with pride as we walk together for Him and all that He has in store for our school on May 10th and 11th. We thank you for all that you have done so far and all that we pray that you will continue to do. There is always room for more!

Please continue your efforts in raising money for this most important cause, building much needed classroom space. As you reach out to family and friends this weekend, ask them to lift up our school in prayer and the success for this event.

Remember that all funds will go directly toward construction of the new building this summer and our goal is $75,000 and fundraising efforts will continue through May 8th. If each child raises $143 we will not only reach our goal, we will receive an additional $45,000 from the school board! “Can we build? Yes, HE Can!” With God, ALL things are possible! Please remember this important biblical truth as you prayerfully consider how you can be a part of this new construction with your generous donations!

Important School Store News

The school store will no longer be accepting consignments. We will continue to accept donations but per the recommendation of the MCS School Board and Administration the PTF voted at the April 24, 2012 meeting to the end the Consignment Program in the school store. Items that have been previously consigned items left in the store as of May 31, 2012 will become the property of the school store. Any consigned items that have been sold from January 1, 2012 to May 30, 2012 will receive the normal credit to their Lunch Express account prior to the 2012/2013 school year. Thank you for your participation in this program and your cooperation with this change.

Middletown Christian Schools’ Foundation kicked off the “Can we Build? Yes He Can!” Walk-A-Thon to raise funds for this summer’s building campaign/project. Students, faculty and staff filled the school gymnasium to hear the exciting news of our building project. The kick-off was led by Nathan Crout and the Walk-A-Thon team. Tommy Depew, a recent MCS graduate, read from scripture and gave a devotion from Nehemiah 2:20. Our theme was inspired from the book of Nehemiah.

Middletown Christian Schools have been blessed with record enrollment, and classroom space is greatly needed. Developing the additional classroom space is very important for our students. It is just as important to recognize what God has given us by developing the unfinished space and using it to glorify Him. We ask that you commit to praying at 7:50 PM each night. By praying at 7:50 PM, you will be reminded of our school goal of $75,000.

The Walk-A-Thon is only one option to donate to the Capital Campaign. We ask that you consider supporting our efforts to turn this unfinished wing into usable classroom space.
